After graduating with honors from Pomona College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Hoshour studied in Rome under the internationally known Italian engineer, Pier Luigi Nervi, and participated in the International Conference for Modern Architecture (CIAM), founded by French Architect Le Corbusier.
